From Fifteen Member States to Two Seminar Rooms

The EU Wine Discovery Series was built to introduce American trade buyers to wines from regions that do not lead the import book. Twenty-four wines were handpicked across fifteen member states, spanning the full geography of European wine, from cool-climate northern Europe through the Mediterranean, the Balkans, and the Atlantic. The brief was simple to state and difficult to deliver: make all of it legible in a single afternoon, to professionals who buy and sell for a living.

SommGeo developed a custom interactive platform that carried the entire program on one screen. Every appellation was positioned geographically, layered over terrain and climate context, and backed with the grape, soil, and viticultural detail sommeliers need to actually pitch a wine. The platform anchored the live seminars, and stayed available to all one hundred trade attendees afterward as an ongoing reference.

The takeaway: when a tasting program spans fifteen countries from the Baltic to the Atlantic, a lineup deck cannot carry the weight. Geography, climate, and cultural context have to be visible at once. On the platform, a buyer clicks a wine, sees the region it comes from, understands why it tastes the way it does, and leaves with a pitch they can make to their own buyers the next week.
